Monday afternoon right before lunch, rob stopped me and asked if I would be available for about 20 minutes after lunch for a meeting with Jordan up at the shop. I didn’t have anything specific going on, so I told him I would be there. It had the vagueness to it that I remembered from program outings. I wasn’t quite sure what was going down, but I decided that if it was Jordan, Rob & I despite what we were talking about, it would be fun to sit down and spend time with them in the middle of the afternoon. I drove up to the shop lounge at 12:45 and found Jordan/Cephas, Jordan Whitten, and Rob. We were going to do a bible study twice a week as friends. We talked about goals we had for the summer personally & in our jobs, and started diving into James. It was really nice to take that time out of the day and spend it in fellowship with friends, talking about God. It was also nice to be ‘poured into’. I feel like in my roll this summer, I’m the one who is focusing on others, but every so often I need to be renewed. Both Monday & Thursday were great times together; I’m looking forward to future weeks of hanging out with them, and diving into the word.
